The Circle of Security Parenting Program
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is offered as an 8 week group program or can be delivered in a one-to-one setting.
Learning Objectives of the Program:
Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

The Shark Cage®
Created by Ursula Benstead, The Shark Cage® is an eight-week group program for women who have had more than experience of abuse in their lives. It is based on universal human rights and is a five step framework to help prevent and understand violence against girls and women.
There are many friendly fish & respectful Dolphins in the oceans that are our communities. There are also Sharks & sometimes it is not possible to avoid them and the harm they cause. Meet other women and find out how having a strong Shark Cage can help you to recognise Sharks before they become a part of your life. This program will help you to tell the difference between Shark & Dolphin behaviors & unhealthy & healthy relationships. Trained facilitators will take you through the 5 Steps in the Shark Cage® framework you will learn about the impacts of trauma, your Human Rights, how to manage strong emotions, recognise & trust your Shark Cage alarm, develop assertiveness skills & build your sense of self worth & empowerment. You will also create your personal Treasure Chest of tools to help you on your healing journey.

my therapeutic approach
“Safety is not the absence of threat, it is the presence of connection”
-Gabor Maté
My therapeutic approach has foundations in attachment theory and neurobiology of trauma and is grounded in strengths-based and trauma-informed practice. This is done through supporting and (re)building safety within the body, self and network. It ensures clients are active participants in their therapeutic sessions where they have choices and where power is shared with the counsellor/therapist. Trust is also fundamental in trauma-informed practice, building trust in the therapeutic relationship to hold the client as they reestablish trust within themselves and with other people. It is essential that clients experience a sense of empowerment in the sessions that can then be transferred into their lives outside of counseling.
I aim to meet clients in therapy wherever they are, to support them to have their needs met in a way that allows them to feel empowered and fully themselves.
You are welcome to be as you are.
